July 22 World Junior Championships - Moncton Canada Kimberley qualified to compete in both the Shot and Discus. While missing the final of the shot with a put of 15.08, Kim qualified for the Discus final with the third best throw.
In a very tight competition Kimberley came 4th with a best throw of 53.75m, agonizingly close to third 19cm away.
Well done Kim.

July 11 XCR 10 - Harcourt to Bendigo Ekidan Relays This is a great event where each team competes to run a point to point course covering around 26km. Eack leg is of varying distances and different terrain, some road and some dirt track.
The day started of wet and cold and finished off wetter and colder. Our team in running order was: 1. Tom Fawthorpe - 5.5km - 19:33 2. Dean Tromp - 6.0km - 22:44 3. Jack Brooks - 8.4km - 30:20 4. Travis Bail - 7.9km - 30:53 5. Anne Lord - 5.1km - 31:05
We came 5th. against some very good opposition. Best performances were Tom who had the 5th. fastest first leg and Dean 13th fastest for the second leg out of all the entered teams.
A very very special thanks to Anne who stepped in at the last minute due to an injury of a team member. She got to the changeover just as Travis came in and shuffled her 5km leg on a dodgy calf to finish the team. She is still cursing me.
